Basically, you want to hit the I-81 and/or I-64 corridor from Virginia into the
Beckley WV vicinity. From Beckley, there are two ways to get to Split Pine
Lodging.
1. You can take the "good roads" route. This route is primarily interstate
and/or four-lane and takes you through the Charleston and Logan
vicinities. Even though this route is longer in mileage, it may take less time
to travel. Split Pine strongly recommends this route for drivers who are
hauling trailers, campers, or similarly large conveyances; or for drivers who
are not accustomed to traveling winding, mountainous 2-lane roads.

roads through the coalfields of southern WV. While this is the more
direct route, it may take more time to travel. Split Pine strongly discourages
