Directions to the Browning Fork / Rockhouse Trail...
- From Split Pine Lodging, take US 52 South for approximately
- When in Gilbert, go past the BB&T bank and the Speedway
- Look for a yellow ATV crossing sign.
- Continue past the sign for approximately 1/3 mile.
- Take a right onto "Larry Joe Harless Drive".
- Go past the McDonald's, Family Dollar, and IGA.
- Cross over the railroad tracks.
- You have now reached the Larry Joe Harless Community Center.
There are two large parking lots, one on each side of the center. You
can park your vehicle in either lot.
- Drive your ATV back to where you saw the yellow ATV crossing sign.
You are allowed to ride your ATV through the town of Gilbert, but make
sure you drive responsibly and obey all signs. There is always a
"town cop" on duty, and he may "bust you" if you don't!).
- Take a right onto the narrow one-lane road. Watch for pedestrians and
- Go approximately 1/4 mile until you come to an intersection.
- Take a right up the hill. This is the "Gilbert Connector" to the
Browning Fork / Rockhouse Trail.
